Mari is a nationally board certified physician assistant who specializes in rheumatology. She is very active in the clinical trials in Albany which are paving the way for new treatments of rheumatic diseases. She speaks English and Armenian.

Mari Kaymakcian is a nationally board certified physician assistant. She earned her Baccalaureate degree in Biology from  Binghamton University in 1992 after which she moved to the Capital Region. She entered the practice of Rheumatology initially in 1994 working as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Division of Rheumatology at Albany Medical Center. While there she coordinated clinical trials for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis as well as osteoarthritis and scleroderma. She commenced her physician assistant training in 1998 and graduated from the Albany Hudson Valley Physician Assistant Program in 2000 on the Dean's List. She has been employed at The Center for Rheumatology since 2000 where she also continues to serve as a sub investigator in clinical trials.
